DICK:  Yes, it was feasible - just means that you skip a very scenic section of the main trail, so only do the alt trail if the weather is bad.

DICK:  Since the most limiting camp (Marmot Lake) actually allowed 99+ registrations it was possible to book in early August for our late Aug trip.  But that made me unwilling to go to Marmot for fear of crowding.
